From Tuesday, November 11 to Tuesday, November 20, the upcoming week will see multiple high profile game releases, some of which have been hotly anticipated for many months. Here is a look at five of the most exciting releases, all coming over the course of one week.
1. Hitman 2- November 13
Dropping the episodic format of 2016’s “Hitman,” IO Interactive has gone for a full-blown $60 package at launch for “Hitman 2.” With this comes all of the open-ended content of the world of assassins available right off the bat. “Hitman 2” sticks to the same formula of its predecessor, one that proved a thrilling success, but includes new weapons, assassination techniques, targets, locations and more. Any stealth action fan should keep this one on their radar.
2. Spyro Reignited Trilogy- November 13
“Spyro” is back and built for a new age and the nostalgic alike. The trilogy includes “Spyro the Dragon,” “Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage” and “Spyro: Year of the Dragon.” All three PlayStation classics are remastered beautifully, making these old titles feel as new as ever. With the original and a remastered soundtrack, re-recorded voicework, stunning visuals and the charming fun surrounding the platformers, “Spyro Reignited Trilogy” is nothing short of exciting.
3. Fallout 76- November 14
Bethesda’s approach to an online “Fallout” game struck fear into many this past June; however, over the months, the game has shaped up to be something pretty interesting. “Fallout 76” is multiple times larger than “Fallout 4” and will feature dozens of new creatures and enemy types. Whether you’re nuking your friends or teaming up, “Fallout 76” should be a great social experience in the wasteland.
4. Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! And Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee!- November 16
Game Freak seems to be appealing to every kind of “Pokemon” fan with these titles. “Pokemon, Let’s Go: Pikachu and Eevee” offer casual players a catching, collecting experience like “Pokemon: Go.” Nostalgic and traditional fans get a fresh take on the familiar “Pokemon: Yellow.” Hardcore gamers will be able to collect em’ all in some challenging ways. Above all else, this is a beautiful, delightful and welcoming take on the “Pokemon” franchise.
5. Battlefield V- November 20
“Battlefield V” looks to bring together everything great about the series and World War II’s depiction in games. The title’s emphasis on the large scale of wars is undeniable with massive maps and epic wars creating themselves. “Battlefield V’s” take on the same war “Call of Duty” did last year will surely bring fans of the new and old “Battlefield” games for one of the best yet. And next year, a battle royale mode will no doubt reignite the fire with even more epic battles.
Are you more excited to survive the wasteland with your friends in “Fallout 76” or revisit the iconic Kanto region in “Pokemon, Let’s Go?” Which of these games coming next week are you most looking forward to? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
